1. THE PURPOSE OF THIS WEBSITE

This FREE site was created by Redwood High School Alumni Associaton volunteers to encourage and foster communication and connectivity within the Redwood High School Community. This site is for all Redwood alumni, including retired teachers from 1959 to the present.

Everything you need to know about Joining, aka: "Setting Up Your Profile" and gaining  access to the rest of our site is on this page. If you have questions,  you can contact us at any time by using the "Contact Us" link on the bottom left hand side of the home page.

 

2. PRIVACY NOTICE

All contact information (address, phone number, e-mail address) that you enter into this website will be kept confidential. The host of this web site, ClassCreator.com, is host to hundreds of schools and class websites. The RHS Alumni Council has given them our vote of confidence and know they understand the importance of your privacy. Your personal information will never be sold, shared or distributed.

Your contact information is private: Your street address, e-mail address, and phone number cannot be seen by anyone unless you want that. You can limit the visibility of your profile to fellow classmates who have joined the site by clicking on the appropriate answer in the "Profile Visibility" section when you join. If you don't opt for privacy your profile can be viewed by non members such as your friends or family, but also will be fully indexable by major search engines.

Privacy reminder; As stated above, private information like your email address, home address, and phone numbers will not be visible to fellow classmates but important to the Alumni Association. Your information will never be given to other classmates without your permission, but we will share contact information with your classes reunion committee so they can let you know about your next reunion.

If you want to to receive Alumni or Individual Class announcements emails (infrequent) from the Alumni Association: Please add noreply@classcreator.net to your email as a safe sender. This way you will hear about Class Reunions and other Alumni events and activities such as the Avenue of Giants, Redwood Athletic Hall of Fame, Alumni Speaker Days and Alumni Scholarships.

If you don't want your name listed with your classes directory on this site:  Click on "Contact us" with your request.

 

3. SETTING UP YOUR PROFILE

In order to access the pages that are password protected on this site: You must officially Join and become a member of the Redwood Alumni Association website. It is very quick and easy to become a member. You simply set up a a member profile and opt in.

To Join you need set up your member profile: Locate the "Classmate Profiles" link to the left then locate your year of graduation, find your name and click on it. Follow the prompts to create your profile by providing a minimum of your email address and establishing your private password. Add as much or as little information as you want. You can always update or change it  later. Note; If your name is not already on your class list, but you are an alumnus of the Redwood High School, contact us and your name will be added. If you attended Redwood but graduated elsewhere and would like to be included, contact us.

Passwords: Passwords on this Alumni Only site don't need high security. Choose something simple that you are certain you will remember. If you forget you can click on "forgot password" to get help. If you have any other problems with accessing the website contact us. and you can still receive a passing grade!

Profile Photos: We encourage you to add a picture to your profile as a master photo. Your old friends will enjoy seeing how you've changed!

Updates: If you change your email address, snail mail address, or phone number, please update your Contact Info. That way you can always be in the know about what your classmates are up to! 

 

4. "MISSING" CLASSMATES

The new Alumni Directory on the site assembles a "Missing Classmates" list for us and has a program that help locate them. One small problem: Until you have joined the site you are considered missing so please help us rectify this grevious (but legally necessary) error and JOIN. Once you have joined you can help us contact other "missing alumni" that you know. Click on friends that are listed as "Missing" and the program will help you how to invite them to become a member of the Redwood Alumni Association website.

 

5. COMMUNICATING WITH CLASSMATES

To privately contact a fellow classmate, you may simply use the email option at the top left of each Classmate's Profile page (located under Master Photo). This feature will allow open communication between Classmates, while protecting your personal information. If you wish to share your email address or other personal information within a message written on our site, the site will not block you from doing so.

 

6. ADDING PICTURES TO YOUR PROFILE

Adding pictures to your profile is not a requirement to participate on the site, but it certainly is a nice way to get to know people again. We've had reports of classmates who discovered they were routinely running into each other without knowing it, because...well....we all change a little over the years! :)

Filling in the photo slots at the top of your Profile:

  • Click "Edit Profile" under MEMBER FUNCTIONS.
  • Roll your cursor over the Master Photo, Then, Now, or Yearbook photo silhouette (note you cannot upload a yearbook photo if one has already been provided)
  • Click "Select Photo" displayed in the upper right corner of photo, then click the "Upload a New Photo" button.
  • Select the desired photo from your hard drive. You will then be given an opportunity to crop the photo for a perfect fit.

Adding large "Profile Gallery Images" to your Profile:

  • Clicked "Edit Profile" under MEMBER FUNCTIONS.
  • Click the photo tab in the upper right corner of your Profile and you'll see previously uploaded images.
  • Click the "Upload a New Photo" button to add more.
  • Click on images you wish to display on your Profile. All images with a green check mark will display. Click again to not display, and the green check mark will disappear.
  • To add a caption under your images, roll over any image and select "Edit Details". Enter your caption and press save.
  • You can adjust the display order of your photos by simply dragging and dropping them into the positions of your choosing.

If you administer a Class website or Facebook page, please send us the current link and we will make it available to our Alumni and your classmates on the "Reunions and Class Contacts" page.
