Beverly J. Sadler Prowell

Mr. Baugh was my German teacher for the last 3 of 4 years of German. He was truly an excellent teacher - one of my absolute favorites, though I stiil shake my head when I think of all the times I had to hit the dictionary to help translate "Die Verwandlung" by Kafka.  He expected a lot, and because he was such a great techer, you wanted to give him the best, and it has paid off many times in my travels!  Danke schön, Herr Baugh, im Himmel.

Mr. Kurtz was such an incredible teacher - I still talk about him when discussing impressive teaching approaches and attitdues.  He made the class challenging yet enjoyable, and was one of the most kind and even-keeled teachers one could imagine.  I went to Cal intending to major inl Math - partly because of him (though I later changed majors).  I will always remember him with fondness and awe.
