Mr. Gordon was my favorite teacher at Redwood. I wanted to play drums and he encouraged me to play all the percussion instruments. I was not a natural drummer so he went out of his way to work with me. I loved playing the Tympani and I think he knew I would have dropped out of school if he had not given me a reason to stay and graduate.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHEILA. ITS BEEN A LOT OF YEARS SINCE WE GRADUATED. HOPE ALL IS WELL WITH YOU AND THE FAMILY. JACK
Jan Adams was an amazing teacher, it was her encouragement as my physiology teacher, that. actually led me to my career in Nursing. It has been over 50 years since I sat in her class and yet when I think of Redwood she was one of my favorite teachers.
I want to thank Shirley's Daughter for her note about her Mom. We were friends in school and so when I saw her name in the Memory section I was saddened; however her daughter's comments allowed me to see that Shirley had married and had her daughter and all her grandchildren which sounds like a full life. I find that moving away from the Bay Area I have lost track of so many people who I thought of as a friend so to see a note like this posted regarding a friend gives me a small glimpse into the life of someone who at one time was a large part of my life.
