DOUGLAS Macrae

Jan passed away in 2009 in Colfax, CA at the age of 67. She was very active in working with Guide Dogs For The Blind as a trainer, sponsor, and more often than not would adopt one or two for life.

I took Spanish with Mr. Sullivan in '59-'60 and '60-'61. To this day I remember the first phrase he told us to learn: "Hable mas despacio, por favor" (please speak slower)! I found him helpful and always stopped in to see him after school while I was in the military; he was really a nice guy (and a dead ringer for Nick Reynolds of the Kingston Trio!)...
